A Celebration of Dance! October 13, 2006, Friday evening at 7:00 pm, is a Student International Travel Benefit for Sarvani Eloheimo. The Celebration of Dance! will feature traditions from India, China, and Scotland, and supports 9-year-old Sarvani Eloheimo, Olympia resident and youngest recipient of the Washington State Arts Commission Folk Arts Master-Apprenticeship Award. Sarvani has been invited to perform at the International Orissi Classical Dance Festival in Orissa, India, in December 2006. The benefit is to help raise travel funds so Sarvani can participate in this extraordinary opportunity! |
